Thoriso Dean Mogale

 Managing Partner and Executive Chairman .

Thoriso Dean Mogale, a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in Information Security, Transport, and Defence sectors, brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Managing Partner and Executive Chairman of Mozifin.  His career spans leadership roles in business development, sales, marketing, organizational strategy, and contract management across large corporates, the banking sector, parastatals, and government entities. 

Dean has a proven track record of driving organizational growth and transformation.  He has been instrumental in implementing critical security solutions, such as the National Payment System for the Reserve Bank of South Africa, and contributing to the formulation of IT cyber law and legislation in South Africa.  His leadership has extended to spearheading industry transformation, founding the Defence Industry Fund, and overseeing structural reforms in the Defence sector. 

Dean's commitment to economic and human capital development, with an emphasis on skills development, is evident through the Mozi Academy, which trains and develops technicians in partnership with corporates, government institutions, and Technical and Vocational Training Colleges (TVETs). Since its inception in 2022, the academy has successfully graduated 200 technicians, contributing to youth empowerment and employment in South Africa. 

His leadership roles in organizations such as Aerospace Maritime & Defence (AMD), Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), and participation at the National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) have further solidified his reputation as a transformative leader.  Dean's ability to navigate complex industries and foster collaboration among stakeholders positions him as a driving force behind Mozifin's success and its contributions to South Africa and Africa’s economic growth.

GODFREY SONO

Godfrey is the CEO of Silver Arrow Consortium, the company’s customer profile has included Bombela, ABSA, the CCMA, the Gauteng Premiers Office, Deloitte & Touché (with whom Silver Arrow Consortium has partnered as a long term sub-contractor), Eskom, Mobot Inc. (USA), Vodacom Mobile Advertising, the Road Accident Fund and K2 Workflow South Africa.  

As a business management consultant, Godfrey has delivered benchmarked services on comprehensive business process management, risk management, IT assessments, strategy and implementation, business modelling and business process re-engineering. Godfrey is a Wits Business School graduate (MAP & MBA) and Electrical Engineer by profession. Prior to forming Silver Arrow, Godfrey worked for Eskom from 1994 until 2003. Godfrey is a serial entrepreneur and entrepreneur and principal advisor who started his first venture in 2004.

MADAPU NHLAPO

Madapu Nhlapo is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with more than 15 years of experience in project finance, investment structuring, and financial advisory across Africa’s infrastructure, renewable energy, and agribusiness sectors. Recognised for his analytical precision and strategic insight, he has advised on transactions exceeding R100 billion, helping governments, investors, and private developers translate complex concepts into bankable, sustainable projects.  

His career spans leadership roles at Eaglestone Capital Advisory, Bayakha Investment Partners, Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa, Macquarie Capital, and Ernst & Young, where he contributed to flagship initiatives such as the Gas-to-Power IPP Programme, Transnet’s LNG-to-Power strategy, and the Batoka Hydro Project (USD 4 billion). Madapu holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science (Merit) from the University of Southampton and a BSc (Hons) in International Business (Economics) from Lancaster University. Guided by integrity, excellence, and impact, he is committed to positioning finance as a force for sustainable development and inclusive growth across the continent.

Thabiso-Mashungane

THABISO MASHUGANE 

Senior Partner.

Thabiso Mashugane is a seasoned corporate finance consultant with over 25 years experience in project finance, private equity, investment management, capital raising and advisory. His career spans leadership roles at Royal Bafokeng Holdings, Land Bank, Citibank and the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) where he served as Head of Structured Finance and Syndications, leading a multidisciplinary team across investment banking products including syndicated loans, project finance, DCM, ECA funding, and securitizations. 

Since leaving the IDC, Mr. Mashugane has advised clients to successfully raise project funding and investor capital, purchase order financing, and medium-term loan facilities. He played a key role in mobilizing funding for the construction of hospitals, roads, ports and renewable enregy projects, as well as securing long-term concessionary funding to support SMEs engaged as subcontractors in these projects.  

With a proven track record in structuring complex, bankable transactions, Mr. Mashugane continues to drive innovative financial solutions that enable business growth, infrastructure delivery, and SME development.

MASHUKELA ELIZABETH MOKOENA 

Senior Associate.

Mashukela Elizabeth Mokoena is a governance and strategic operations professional with over 20 years of experience across the public sector and development finance institutions. Furthermore, she has gained meaningful experience in enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and institutional strengthening within complex state environments. 

She has held different roles at Gauteng Enterprise Propeller and Gauteng Treasury, leading governance reform, policy implementation, change management, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that enhanced organisational resilience and service delivery. Shuki has the ability to translate policy into practical systems that deliver measurable impact. 

She holds an MBA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Wits Business School and is currently completing the Governance Professional (Board Level) qualification, reflecting her commitment to impactful strategic board leadership. 

A dedicated tutor in academia Shuki combines analytical depth with people-centred leadership. She is passionate about strengthening institutions and enabling inclusive growth for people.

MADILLO TUMANE 

Associate.

Madillo Tumane, has over 7 years of experience in the financial sector.She holds qualifications such as a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), an Advanced Diploma in Accounting Sciences, a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Sciences (CTA) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Accounting all from the University of South Africa (UNISA). 

Madillo has extensive experience in the audit and tax environment having previously worked at SNK Accounting and Tax Advisory and GEDA Development.

STACEY MOGALE 

Partner.

Stacy Mogale is a highly accomplished corporate finance and commercial law professional with extensive experience spanning mergers and acquisitions, broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE), and regulatory advisory. As co-founder and executive director of The Legal Verification Team, a SANAS-certified verification agency, she plays a leading role in advancing compliance, governance, and transformation strategies for organisations across South Africa. 

Her career includes senior positions at leading global and national firms. Stacy was a partner at Webber Wentzel, where she specialised in B-BBEE transactions, M&A, private equity, and general commercial law. Prior to this, she served as an associate at Hogan Lovells, advising local and international mining clients on transactions and regulatory matters, and worked within the Transaction Advisory practice at Deloitte, focusing on corporate finance, restructures, and acquisitions. 

Stacy is an admitted attorney and notary public of the High Court of South Africa. She holds an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand and law degrees from the University of Johannesburg, complemented by a postgraduate diploma in Mining and Prospecting Law. Her multidisciplinary background uniquely positions her to bridge legal, financial, and strategic considerations in complex commercial environments.
